The prime purpose of our phones is to help us make calls, browse the internet and put up Stories on Instagram. Focusing most on the later and helping millennials take their social media obsession to a brand-new pedestal is Samsung that recently announced the Galaxy S10 series which will now come with a one-of-its-kind ‘Instagram Mode’.
The ingenious tech feature will be fitted in each of the budget 5.8-inch S10e, the standard 6.1-inch S10, the enhanced 6.4-inch S10+, and the ultra-fast 6.4-inch S10 5G phones and will enable users to directly put up stories on the Instagram App using the phone’s camera. The feature will also have access to mechanics like stickers, location tags, and other editing tools including music and text – all built within the native Camera app. Though little more is known about the novel ‘Instagram Mode’, Samsung has stated that it will grant complete access to developers for them to adopt the tech in future applications.
In addition to the Instagram mode, the new S10 series will also feature a new AI-powered camera assistant called Shot Suggestion, a first of its kind Dynamic AMOLED display, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, Intelligent Wi-Fi, AI performance optimization, Android 9.0 (Pie), and fast charging. There are also talks about a possible partnership with Snapchat, Lime and Snow, however there is no official confirmation on it yet. The Instagram friendly S10 phones will hit shelves on March 8 for prices ranging between $700-$1000.
