Ever pondered on the shape of ice and how wonderful (and tough) it would be to have it spherically shaped for your beverages? Christened as Forge Clear Ice System, the ingenious appliance can churn out beautiful balls of ice for those who love to experiment with their drinks. The system has two components and is designed to operate on its own, without the need of a freezer. It first creates large “gem-shaped clear ice” in hours and holds them at temperature after which a heated press shapes the gems into the large spheres in approximately a minute. The result? A perfect sphere of ice to enhance your favorite drink by manifolds. Additionally, the machine promises to make ice that is free from impurities and trapped air that typically cloud it.

Commenting on the invention, FirstBuild Executive Director Larry Portaro said, “Our engineers have worked alongside whiskey experts and enthusiasts to create both an innovative way to make clear ice at home and an experience that creates a wow every time,” The Force Clear Ice System is currently available in a presale crowdfunding campaign online for approximately $1,499 with certain discounts.
