Chivas Regal’s latest offering The Icon is a celebration of fine craftsmanship and the age old traditions associated with the production of whisky. According to Chivas, the Icon is “is an exceptionally smooth blend of much sought after whiskies from more than 20 distilleries across Scotland, including some rare whiskies from distilleries now lost forever.” The blend which has been called the pinnacle of Chivas Regal’s range is a testament to the expertise of the brand’s Master Blender Colin Scott.
The unique blend features at its heart the rarest malts from Strathisla which is the oldest continuously operating distillery in the Scottish Highlands and is considered the “spiritual home” of Chivas Regal. This central element is accented with hand-selected single malts from Longmorn and Glen Keith to make The Icon a bold and unforgettable blend for whisky lovers. Rich notes of honey, vanilla and dark chocolate are tempered by subtle hazelnut influences from the cask making this a truly luxurious drink to be savored.
The Icon blend is presented in hand-blown crystal decanters created by expert craftsmen at Dartington Crystal. Delicately etched and finished with precision crafted metalwork and the green glass bottle is adorned with a luckenbooth stopper- a traditional Celtic symbol of love.
This luxury blend will set you back by US$3,500 (Global Travel Retail) and will be made available to purchase for the very first time exclusively from Dubai Travel Retail from May – September 2015.
