Dalmore has unveiled a whiskey so rare that one bottle costs more than a Tesla car

When it comes to whiskeys, Dalmore is one of the finest brands to exist globally. The marquee is known to produce some of the finest blends to date and in kicking its 2020 editions, it has recently unveiled a limited-edition blend that has exquisitely been matured for 51 years. Yes, that’s right!

Produced by master distiller Richard Paterson, the limited-edition single malt has been aged in a mix of casks that once held bourbon, Port Colheita 1938 or sherry. The resulting spirit includes exotic hints of licorice, Morello cherries, balsamic vinegar and caramel which are rather interesting on the palate. While the blend mainly boasts flavors of plum, ginger and warm vanilla, it is rounded off perfectly with subtle notes of rich chocolate and tropical pineapple.

Similar to Dalmore’s previous special and rare releases, the exclusive blend comes bottled in custom crystal decanters with polished silver stoppers that are further packaged in hand-crafted, sycamore cases lined with quilted leather. Only 51 bottles of the luxurious spirit are available worldwide, which means that connoisseurs will most likely have to battle their way out to one. Along with the 51-year limited-edition single malt, Dalmore will also unveil one bottle of a rare 60-Year-Old single malt. Whiskey lovers, what are you waiting for?
