Dominique Ansel sets new ice-cream trends, unveils the Burrata and Gianduja soft-serve flavors

From the Cronut to the Wonut, Bruffins and Crownies, we’ve recently seen some crazy food mashups. Some delightful and others bizarre and there’s still more to come as creator of the Cronut and king of desserts, Dominique Ansel continues to mix and mash.

The latest innovations to come from Ansel’s kitchen is using with everyone’s favorite, the ice-cream. Ansel will be launching two unique soft-serve flavors: the burrata (the ultra-creamy fresh Italian cheese) with balsamic caramel and a whole confited strawberry, and gianduja (Italian sweet chocolate spread made with hazelnut) topped with salted hazelnut brittle, orange mist and sea salt.

How delish does that sound! Both creations will be available in house-made cones for $7 and only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 9 pm at the soft-serve ice-cream window at Dominique Ansel Kitchen in New York City.
