Evian unveils re (new) water bubble designed by Virgil Abloh

Global natural water brand Evian has launched its re (new) water bubble that will compel you to rethink the way you consume water. Designed by Virgil Abloh, the item features five water bubbles to be placed onto a base along with several other unique features.

Made from 100 percent recycled plastic, the product bears a modern and minimalistic design that builds on the “iconicity of Evian as an interior decoration to be showcased in the home.” The 5L bubbles are further created with 60 percent less plastic than equivalent plastic bottles which once empty, collapse into the structure to be replaced.

Commenting on it, Evian, in a statement, said, “When it comes to packaging innovations that protect the health of the planet and people, we’re partnering with visionaries like Virgil Abloh to create forward-thinking yet practical designs for the future.”

The re(new) fountain is part of the brand’s ongoing effort to maintain sustainability. However, the bubbles are only fit for use once and need to be purchased over, raising a question on just how environmentally friendly it is then. Regardless, if you are interested in purchasing the product, it is now available on Evian’s official website and is priced at approximately $60, with two-Pack 5L Bubble Refills available for $10 each.
