Thought fashion was all about pretty clothes and designer shoes? Well, think again. French pastry maker Fauchon and Thierry Mugler prove that fashion can be every bit as sweet as it is stylish through their latest delectable collaboration over a designer éclair. We’ve seen Fauchon create a decadent collection of éclair for Lacoste for the brand’s 80th anniversary and this time, the pastry chefs at Fauchon are celebrating the launch of Thierry Mugler’s summer fragrance aptly titled Eau Sucrée which will be a summer 2014 limited edition update of the classic Mugler scent- Angel.
Titled Thierry Mugler’s Angel, the new Fauchon éclair will be a tribute to Mugler’s fragrance and as it includes elements that feature in the composition of the fragrance it represents a perfect marriage of smell and taste. Filled with marbled cream flavoured with Madagascar vanilla cream, with hints of lemon and caramel, the sweet treat boats a center of almond praline and bitter chocolate. On the outside, the pastry is dressed in a pretty powder blue shell, perfectly matching its perfume counterpart especially with the addition of pretty stars and the Angel logo. We think the high fashion pastry will be a hit at high teas this summer, and it doesn’t hurt that the pretty blue treat perfectly matches the must have Celine bag of the season!
The limited edition pastry will be available from May 19 to June 7 for $12 or €7. Not a bad price for a taste of delicious designer goodness!
The Eau Sucrée fragrance meanwhile features new top notes of red berries, caramelized meringue and base notes of summery patchouli and warm vanilla.
