Have a look at this $900 Japanese sweet box that offers exotic tea-infused chocolates

For those who hold equal love for chocolates and tea, here’s bringing you some sweet news. To cater to the lovingly eccentric demands of chocolate connoisseurs round the world, a well-known Japanese chocolate manufacturer – Sils Maria is all set to roll out an interesting collection of tea-based chocolates. Termed as “Tea Connection: Fresh Chocolates from Three Uji Teas”, the assortment offers a lavish spread of the most delicious chocolates ever. However, you would need not more than just a refined palate (read deep pockets) to relish these goodies.

Priced at a whopping $900, the chocolates are created by the brand in collaboration with Tsuji Rihei Honten, a 150-year-old tea retailer and manufacturer in Japan. Each gourmet set consists of 20 pieces of three unique varieties of chocolate. The first in the lot is the “Matcha fresh chocolate” that is prepared with the use of powdered green tea, cream, Belgian white chocolate and a dash of champagne. Next in line is the “Fresh chocolate with roasted stem Uji Gyokuro tea” that is made with the hoji-cha stem found in the valuable Uji grown Gyokura tea and some fine whiskey for added flavor. Lastly, one can relish on the Fresh Uji Sencha Chocolates that promise a fine amalgamation of Belgian white chocolate, stone-ground Uji green tea and fresh sage.

Further, the collection also comes packed with three packets of the core ingredients i.e. the hand-picked matcha, two packets of the roasted stem Gyokuro tea, and three packets of the Uji sencha for a complimentary tea experience. Wrapped in a beautiful Furoshiki styled cloth for added charm, these divine gourmet treats are probably worth the hefty price tag on second thought!
