Iconic Japanese designer Yayoi Kusama’s has created polka dotted limited edition bottles for Veuve Clicquot La Grande Madame champagne

Iconic Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is back again! And this time, the maverick has unveiled an exceptional creation to celebrate Veuve Clicquot’s Hew vintage, La Grande Dame 2012 with limited edition, polka-dotted champagne bottles! Yes, that’s right!

Designed as part of a collaboration between the French champagne house and Kusuma, the exclusive decanters and case feature the artist’s staple polka-dotted aesthetic, rearranged as champagne bubbles. The packaging further comes adorned with a flower motif that is reminiscent of her ‘Flowers that Bloom at Midnight’ series.

In addition to the champagne bottles, a special sculpture to wrap around the La Grande Dame bottle will also available on request. Only 100 of the said sculptures will be available, each being hand painted by the artist and titled ‘My Heart That Blooms in the Darkness of Night’.

The Yayoi Kusama X La Grande Dame 2012 vintage Clicquot champagne bottles will hit shelves on September 23 for a retail price of ¥25,740 or $242 each. A pop-up shop will also be set up at Isetan Shinjuku until September 29 as part of the collaboration. Well, it’s time to sip a glass of bubbly in style!
