Patrón launches its oldest limited-edition tequila in the US


Tequila fans- Here’s some news to raise your spirits! In a bid to please its connoisseurs, Bacardi- owned brand – Patrón has recently announced the launch of a limited edition 10-year old tequila! Yes, that’s right. The spirit happens to be a rare delight and is also the oldest of its kind to be manufactured by the marquee.

Christened- The Patrón Extra Añejo 10 Años, the exclusive tequila is made using 100% blue weber agave from the fields of Atotonilco, Mexico. It is painstakingly aged for almost 10 years in a blend of American oak and hybrid American and French Limousin barrels and boasts “a remarkable balance between agave notes and unique flavor characteristics “.With a palette that is both smooth and sweet, the spirit further features refreshing aromas of “intense vanilla, dry fruits, and citrus,” all bundled together in a handblown glass replica of the very first Patrón bottle ever.

Commenting on the launch, Adrian Parker, Global Vice President of Marketing for Patrón Tequila said, “The release of Patrón Extra Añejo 10 Años is an incredible milestone for Patrón,” He further added, “We are one of a handful of Tequila brands to create a Tequila of this age and calibre and are extremely proud to have another outstanding product join our expanding range of aged Tequilas.” The Patrón Extra Añejo 10 Años (750 ml) is bottled at 40% ABV and will exclusively be sold in the US for US$349.
