‘The Macallan in Lalique Six Pillars’ an ultra rare collection of whiskey to go under the hammer

Over the span of the last ten years, The Macallan has repeatedly joined hands with French crystal house – Lalique for the making of exquisite decanters for six of its finest blends. The collaboration as a whole is now titled as – ‘The Macallan in Lalique Six Pillars’, and is cherished and beheld as one of the most iconic creations of all time. Good news for craving connoisseurs is that the luxe set of whiskey containers will now be up for grabs at a soon to be held Bonhams auction.

Aged between 50 to 65 years, each of the blends from the collection are sold at an extremely high price individually, and hence the collective sale is bound to go up to an estimated $460,000 and above. For an expensive tag like that, one can get their hands on – The Macallan in Lalique – Exceptional Oak Cask, Natural Color, Finest Cut, Curiously Small Stills, Spiritual Home and Peerless Spirit. The special ensemble will further come housed in a bespoke cabinet crafted in natural ebony along with six pairs of Lalique Macallan glasses, each numbered serially to commemorate this unique partnership.

As a final touch, the collection will also include autographs of the masterminds behind it. The Bonhams auction will take place on 18 August at One Pacific Place in Hong Kong where whiskey enthusiasts from world over will fight it out to win the coveted Macallan X Lalique creation. Here’s wishing luck to all those queuing up for this fantabulous whiskey sale!
