Lotte Department Store is giving bike-lovers a unique opportunity to feed their affection for two-wheelers. Their outlet in Icheon, Korea will open the first motorcycle café where users can indulge in all things ‘bike’. There will be several BMW bikes on display as well as accessories such as clothing and helmets. That’s not all. Guests can interact with each other and also receive free consultations about motorbikes.
If you’re wondering how crazy Koreans are about their motorcycles then it would be really insightful to know that the number of imported motorbikes have gone up from 10,300 in 2012 to 20,800 last year. That’s more than double in just three years. In addition to all things biking the store will also serve German brew
“We tried to make a store that targets men who are interested in motorcycles,” said a representative. “We’ll try to expand our shopping spaces that cater to male customers.” The café is scheduled to open its doors to aficionados on the 27th of May.
