Here’s another item that looks very retro, although it isn’t ancient in its year count. I’m talking about Patek Phillippe’s “Electronic Master Clock System,” which dates back only 1975, but it’s still very bulky in its appearance. The gigantic unit features an independent minute and seconds comparators and displays five different time zones, including New York, Tokyo, and Buenos Aires. It’s put up on Bonhams for $ 8,000. As such, it’s not equipped with any ground-breaking features, and the same applications could be available on any normal cell phone. It simply caters to the likes of the retro-lovers.
