A fridge which is so beautiful that is sells for $50,000

You’ll recall that earlier this year Dolce and Gabbana brought their signature Sicilian style art to a range of Smeg appliances, but you may not have known that his was not the first time Smeg’s products had received a wash of designer color. Back in 2016, the Italian designer duo gave Smeg’s famous refrigerators a delightful makeover only to slap them with a rather unattainable price tag. While the recently launches juicers, toasters and kettles are in the $600 ballpark, those iconic refrigerators are priced at a whopping $50,000. It’s hardly a surprise that they haven’t sold out yet!

These refrigerators are exclusive to Neiman Marcus and come with an additional $495 shipping fee. Each of the seven available refrigerators is hand painted with a traditional style design by a different artist. The bright, primary colors and busy designs make these refrigerators eye-catching, but also difficult to fit in with existing kitchen décor.

If you love the colors and style, but don’t want to splurge on the fridge, go for one of the smaller appliances from the Sicily is My Love collection instead. We do love a good Smeg fridge, but we’ll take one of these Thierry Noir versions instead!
