This is Belfast- based creative designer Colin Hart’s idea of a joke as he puts in 12 months to taxidermy a pig to convert it into a literal piggy bank! On sale online, each of these hideous looking piggy hide banks is priced at a staggering $4,000.
Hart clarified that they don’t kill the piglets but wait for them to die of natural causes to create keepsake them. He goes on to add, “It’s all just a bit tongue in cheek really, a bit of fun, we don’t expect to make any money out of it. If we do sell one, we will even donate the profits to an animal rights charity.”
