Dyson has unveiled a $650 app-controlled LED Lamp that could last up to 60 years!

With smart technology surpassing all walks of life, how could lighting gadgets be skipped from its reach! Presenting an upgrade over your outdated light bulbs is Dyson’s all-new ambient Lamp that works via an app and promises to work 60 years for you! Yup, that’s right! Called the Dyson Lightcycle, the innovative lighting concept comes in desk and floor lamp versions and is built to automatically adjust its lighting temperature based on ambient light or time of day.

What appears to be a successor of the Jake Dyson CSYS task light, the all-new Dyson Lightcycle is app-controlled, time-sensitive and sun-mimicking, with an industrial design that can put many of its kind to shame. Connectible to the Dyson Linkapp, the smart lamp can track local daylight and adapt the temperature and brightness of the light, thus helping you keep your body clock in sync with the real world. It offers 6 preset modes that can also be worked manually with slide-touch dimming and color temperature selection as per your preference.

Other features of the Dyson Lightcycle include over 1,000 Lux brightness, low optical flicker and ‘glare protection’ along with an ambient light sensor that self-adjusts to background light. Commenting on the smart light, its creator Jake Dyson stated, “Light matters to our wellbeing and task performance. When trying to recreate the characteristics of daylight, light quality is vital. So we developed a way to protect it for the long term.” The Dyson Lightcycle desk and floor standing models can be yours for $449.99 and $649.99 respectively.
