Large 160 inch screen provides cinema-like experience in luxury Utah home

Luxury lovers spare no expense when it comes to equipping their homes with a home theater. If you thought no other home theater could match up to the classy home theater designed by AV design & Integration in a traditional home, think again. Competing for the Best Home theater category ($50,000-$1,000,000) at this year’s Home of the Year awards is this home in St. George, Utah. The gorgeous home is situated in a beautiful locale with panoramic views of mountains in the distance. The home has large windows and 20-foot ceilings. The task of equipping this gorgeous home with a home theater that would steal the attention from the beautiful views was given to The Audio Installation Company. The company began by incorporating a large 160-inch Draper Onyx screen in the room. To give viewers a cinema-like experience, the designers even installed automated curtains that draw in front of the screen. Beautiful mahogany hardwood adorns the room while the JVC projector is mounted. Sound is provided by nine B&W Speakers that are hidden behind the sound panels, including two Velodyne in-wall subs.

The entire system including the curtains is controlled by an RTI T2-C handheld controller. With such a neat home theater, why would anyone ever go the cinema?
