Rare Queen Mary Maiden Voyage teapot for $3,800

Antiques don’t hold much interest for me, but you will definitely be interested in this if you are an avid antique collector. A rare Queen Mary Maiden Voyage teapot dating back to 1936 is actually up for grabs. The rare teapot shaped like the ship was made by the Midwinter Company, Burslem, and is said to be in wonderful condition. What is more, on the bottom of the teapot under the glaze, information is printed about the builder, launch date, test run date, maiden voyage date, passengers, crew, and weight. The smokestacks function as handles for the lid while the glaze is hand-painted. The platinum overglaze detailing is also visible. A must for every collector, this teapot is definitely one-of-a-kind.
