One can imagine chairs like this in the court of an emperor where everything around oozes riches and luxury and royalty. Based on the idea of ‘memories yet to come’, these classic pieces are conceived by a Bulgarian company Slokoski. Their idea is to put you in the midst of a portrait picture that spells extravagance, luxury and lavishness. With their three dimensional ornate frame, these chairs make a definite style statement and command undivided attention . Constructed from lime tree wood with a varnished finish of either silver or gold intricately designed metal leaves the frame of the chair looks impressive and fit for a king.
This hand carved chair is made of plywood and the upholstery is in a royal deep purple and a dark grey velvet. The chair is designed with heavy duty castor wheels with brakes to ensure mobility without affecting the style.
These pieces are up for display for a limited time at the maison & objet, paris from 6th to 10th September, in the [email protected] trends forum hall 7. Photographs do not do justice to these chairs. This is an opportunity that must not be missed, to see these creations up close and have a word with the designers who are there to showcase their design.
