The hotel is finishing 62 luxurious suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and either a balcony or patio; first-floor accommodations will have direct access to the steamy waters. An underground spa will foster relaxation and an on-site restaurant will serve Icelandic cuisine.

The Royal Yacht Britannia’s new life is that of a luxurious floating hotel, permanently berthed by The Shore restaurant in Edinburgh, Scotland. Its 23 beautifully-styled cabins are named after iconic lighthouses of the United Kingdom. The hotel is a stroll away from two Michelin-starred restaurants and vivacious Leith neighborhood.

1 – One & Only Gorilla’s Nest, Rwanda
Opening: Late 2018
Set in the foothills of the Virunga Volcano is this exciting new base for face-to-face encounters with the world’s last mountain gorillas – only some 780 left. Nestled amongst a forest of eucalyptus trees, unpretentious guestrooms have rustic furnishings and natural elements. The restaurant will use produce grown in the lodge’s garden to create local African cuisine, and the One&Only spa promises to draw on African traditions for its treatment menu.
