Beverly Hills Suite 100: Gives you the chance to live like Marilyn Monroe

It’s Beverly Hills’ 2014 centennial and guess how The Beverly Hills Hotel is celebrating? With a special suite! Ok, so, I know that didn’t sound entirely lavish but this will. Called the Suite 100, the exclusive experience will take you back in time, revisiting moments from the past 100 years of one of the world’s most glamorous cities!

The Beverly Hills Hotel has joined with other luxurious Beverly Hills hotels, namely, Montage Beverly Hills, The Beverly Hilton, L’Ermitage Beverly Hills and The Peninsula Beverly Hills. Each will redecorate one of its suites to commemorate the city’s 100-year anniversary. So, what should you expect besides a walk down glamorous memory avenue? Marilyn Monroe-themed services and amenities!

“Our Suite 100 personifies one of the most glamorous moments in the legendary heritage of the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Norma Jean Experience pays homage to one of the world’s most enduring icons,” expressed regional director and general manager of the property, Edward Mandy. For guests, this translates to a stay at The Golden Age Inspired by Marilyn Monroe suite but it also means a shot at greater indulgence while at it.

While the Adam D. Tihany designed suite showcases original artifacts from Monroe’s estate such as original contact sheets from her starring role in Some Like It Hot and a three-panel sterling silver custom-made Cartier frame besides boasting a library, which features classic Marilyn Monroe films and books, the Norma Jean Experience includes roundtrip airport transfers in a vintage car, a bottle of Chanel No. 5 et al, albeit at an additional cost.

Clearly indulgence has no end here as the specialty suite has another “addition” namely a Champagne Bath Bubble Menu. With a fairly self-explanatory name, the service gets you a bath pillow, genuine wood backbrush, bath mitt, tub tray and a bottle of Dom Perignon along with say, the “Some Like It Hot” ($600) featuring the invigorating sweet orange and grapefruits oils and the uber hydrating Ceara pure Atlantic sea salts.

A Marilyn’s Menu ($250 for two), inspired by an interview that appeared in the 1952 issue of Pageant Magazine, is all about Marilyn-tastic fare such as Prawn Cocktail and DiMaggio’s Spaghetti and Meatballs. It can be availed by itself, but is also part of the inclusive amenities and services filled Norma Jean Experience ($1,914). As for the commemorative Suite 100, it may be reserved through December 31 ’14 at a price of $3,795.
