Book a luxury room at half the price – Shanghai luxury hotel’s new offering

I always wanted to check-in to a hi-end hotel, but pocket failed you? Not anymore. According to a new trend catching up in Shanghai, you will soon be staying in those opulent hotels by paying half the price – RMB 500 instead of RMB 1000 to be precise. Ctrip recently launched a new campaign called “Secret Discounted Rooms,” offering essentially opaque hotel booking services in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Sanya.

So what’s opaque booking, you must be wondering. First introduced in the United States, opaque hotel booking systems guarantee deep discounts on luxury hotel rooms. The catch: customers don’t know which hotel they’ll stay at except the general location until they enter credit card details.
Hurry, the promotion is on till February 28.
