The desert and the camel are symbiotic. Same as the GCC and the desert, and in turn the GCC and camels. The exquisite The Chedi Muscat decided to combine a series of such co-related things to offer a one-of-its-kind-packages for diners/guests. With the lovely winters setting into the region, the hotel’s Caravan of Taste ‘adventure’ could ring an enticing bell amidst food lovers in the Sultanate. This culinary journey will be nothing like you would have experienced before – a camel leading you to a planned itinerary of dining options. There will be five stops that will be covered in three and a half hours precisely. Guests will get to enjoy Arabian, Indian and Japanese cuisines, starting with some fine Prosecco in the property’s Lobby Lounge Courtyard. The procession, which includes musicians on traditional drums, will pass the hotel’s 103 meter Long Pool to offer Japanese appetizers.
The next stop is for the main course which offers seafood aplenty at the Beach Restaurant, well, at the beach. Lastly, as the sun is all set and snoozing in its abode, you will finish off the tour at the Serai Pool for shisha and dessert. The camel’s journey ends there as well. If you are staying over at the property, or are in close vicinity for a few days, you could return to the hotel grounds for the Picnic Brunch. As the name suggests it is a picnic in the hotel’s Zen garden which boasts 37 palm trees. There will be live cooking stations (such mandates in a picnic) and picnic hampers.
And there is more. An English and Arabic Afternoon Tea, an Express Business Lunch, a Sundowner, a Lazy Saturday Lunch, a Chedi Barbecue and a Full Moon Dinner – more dining options available at the hotel. So who’s up for a date with stars? Or sand? Or sophistication?
