Free internet access at Marriot Hotels for Gold and Platinum members


Calling your loved ones on the phone when your glob trotting (quite literally) can be extremely expensive. Most people prefer talking in pictures over the internet than sending postcards. And keeping this in mind, and given a survey from the hotel technology firm Quadriga, Marriot has decided to provide free Internet access to its Gold and Platinum-tier members under the Marriott Rewards loyalty program. The Quadriga survey revealed that 62 percent of the guests thought Internet connectivity was just as essential as sanitation (70 percent) and a comfortable bed (68 percent).

Marriot has now joined popular names like Radisson Hotels, Holiday Inn Express, and Andaz hotels, providing free internet facilities. To reach Gold status, you will have to stay as many as 50 nights in any Marriott properties.
