Elvis Presley fans have reasons to rock and roll with the grand opening of the singer’s guest house at Graceland. The luxury house which is a part of Graceland’s massive expansion plan will be decorated to honor the legendary singer in more ways than one. One of Presley’s long cherished dreams was to have a space where his near and dear ones can gather, rejoice and live a great time. With Elvis’s dream as a blueprint, Graceland recently opened doors to the newly built guest house for one and all.
The official opening of the house will take place from October 27th to 30th with an extravagant opening celebration in place. Promising to be more than a full service hotel, the guest house will give fans a chance to live a day off the celebrated singer’s life. Apart from its 450 ultra-luxurious rooms, it also houses two restaurants, a meeting space, a 464-seat theater for live performances and movies and a 4,000-square-foot lawn where guests can try their hand at some good old croquet, bocce ball and bean bag toss. The entire décor depicts Elvis’s style to the tee, with a mix of the singer’s signature purple and gold hues dominating the place. The rooms welcome guests with a photograph of Presley in his signature gold jacket and include a glass-enclosed shower, flat-screen television and blackout curtains.
The house is apparently the only luxury stay in Memphis and boasts of being the largest hotel built in the city in the last 90 years. Thanks to Presley’s die-hard fans the hotel’s opening is already booked out but room bookings are still available for the rest of the year. Living life Elvis Presley style will cost you around $159 to $1,300 per night, depending on your choice of stay. Not a big hole in your pocket for living the celebrity life for a day!
