In catering to little foodies, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts is set to launch a novel culinary concept for kids. Called ‘FoodieKiDS,’ the all-new children’s menu is backed by global research and created in line with children’s peculiar eating habits.
More than 5,500 parents of children under 12-years-old from six different markets were interviewed for developing the unique culinary concept. As part of the group’s research (undertaken in three continents, with respondents from the US, UK, Russia, Germany, KSA, and UAE), it was figured that 77% of parents thought that hotels around the world need to provide more healthy options on kids’ menus.
Parents also stated that their children were drawn to eating junk food with low nutritional value while on holiday, with the most popular food items globally for young travelers being pizza (44 percent), chicken nuggets (35 percent), and chips (32 percent). Only a few admitted that they still tried to ensure their kids ate something nutritious with every meal while on vacation.
Moreover, 79% of parents said that an attractive, varied, and healthy food menu for children would enhance their experience and ensure that they are making the right choices for their children’s well-being. This led to the curation of FoodieKiDS, a dedicated children’s menu with dishes that are both enticing and nutritious for young diners.

FoodieKiDS does just that and is something that will not only give parents extra peace of mind but also make their stay with us even more memorable….” The FoodieKiDS menu will debut at the group’s flagship family resort – Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, before being rolled out globally. Well, that’s some relief for doting parents on a holiday!
