Mandarin Oriental, Miami has a package for Selfie aficionados

We are more glued to our smartphones than a joey inside a marsupial. Our phones are for us today what poodles were for our chic aunts half a century ago. Everyone these days try to work around phone, because, as much as some may hate to admit it, that is our way of life now.

So. Mandarin Oriental, Miami decided to put this obsession into some fun use by launching a new package called #MiamiMyWayPackage. Guests needed worry about their selfies and Instagram updates not looking as glamorous as their boastful neighbours, or not getting enough likes on their FB posts. This special package offers guests a one-on-one photography instruction for those who enjoy to capture striking images of the city, their stay, the hotel, the food, the people, the ambience – and anything else that will fill their social media thirst.

The hotel will provide two-hour private lessons in photography and editing. Famous Miami ‘iPhonegraphers’ (photographers are so passé) Brian Ladder and Jose Narvaez will guide guests on several techniques and gadgets – selfie sticks, stick on lenses, waterproof cases, and photo editing applications. They will even help you create a digital album out of this. Through this initiative the hotel hopes to get as much leverage as possible, through its own handle @MO_MIAMI and #MiamiMyWay. Guests will also get a three-hour tour of the city including the Wynwood Arts District and Ocean Drive, as well as around the hotel premises including the private Oasis Pool and Beach and La Mar restaurant. As well as the rooms, classes and tours, you also get to have an All-American breakfast at La Mar, a gift of Mandarin Oriental, Miami art book AND a picture with the iPhonographers.
