The hospitality sector is now booming and probably the only industry where people are safely putting in their money and expecting no tangible results – the only pure pleasure of enjoying a great meal or a great day of pampering. Basketball hero Michael Jordan is also one who joined the bandwagon of a trillion other celebrities the world over to get into this line with his Steak House. The Strategic Hotels & Resorts, owner of the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile, alongside partners Chicago-based Cornerstone Restaurant Group, wanted a share of the big guy’s prominence and brought a new Michael Jordan’s Steak House inside its property.
The 6,300 sq ft restaurant’s construction will begin in spring and will occupy the second-floor dining room and first-floor lobby bar space. The outlet will accommodate 160 seating and 91 at the bar. There will be two private dining spaces as well seating 18 people each. Michael Jordans Steak House is located at Grand Central Terminal in New York City and the Mohegan Sun Casino Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut.
