The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park has decided to explore newer avenues by tapping into a new consumer market segment. The hotel has announced exclusive tailor-made packages for same-sex weddings at their enthralling property. With the legalization of gay marriages in New York, the world-famous property is taking this as an opportunity to increase their clientele and expand into an entirely new and unexplored segment of the market. The hotel offers patrons two packages for an intimate wedding of about 50 guests to make D-day memorable for the couple.
The Modern Manhattan Matrimony package, which starts at $8,500, offers an LGBT-certified Ritz-Carlton wedding consultant, wedding concierge, accommodation with a view of the Statue of Liberty on the wedding night, marriage officiant, champagne toast, wedding cake, floral options, caricature of the wedding couple and Lady Liberty to commemorate the day.
The Modern New York Matrimony package, which starts at $12,500, offers the same amenities along with the inclusion of three hours of photography, three hours of a solo musician, and a rose petal aisle for the ceremony.
Both packages offer the choice of two locations for the wedding: the Rise on the hotel’s 14th floor that accommodates 20-50 guests or the Liberty Suite that can take in 2-20 guests. This is not just a smart business decision but also a commendable social statement by the hotel to support the rights of homosexuals.
