Robert De Niro given the go to build a luxury hotel in Central London

Actor Robert De Niro has been given the green signal by the Westminster Council to open a luxury hotel n Covent Garden, in central London. The hotel will be called Wellington and will have 83 rooms. It will bring some of the features from De Niro’s New York-based Greenwich hotel, which he opened in 2008. It will have a spa, a member’s Club and two restaurants and will be housed in six Victorian and early 20th-century buildings.

While the Greenwich hotel has set a mark in the actor’s home town, and also the venue for Tribeca film festival, his Nobu hotel in Manila, Philippines, was awarded the worst hotel of the year in 2015. Bad management it seems. But we are optimistic, and so we believe that the London property will be a smashing success! Because we love De Niro so!
