Russian ballerinas washes onshore at Maldives

When we think Maldives, we think of the sea, the tropical trees and pristine beaches. Russia and its snow-laden walkways with dancing ballerinas is the last thing on our minds. But that will change next month as dancers from Russia’s renowned Mariinsky Ballet Company drops anchor on the shores of this small Indian Ocean nation. This is part of the ‘avant-garde experiences’ tailored by PER AQUUM and will take place at PER AQUUM Huvafen Fushi and PER AQUUM Niyama.

There will be two performances – one at PER AQUUM Niyama on august 21 and an encore at PER AQUUM Huvafen Fushi on August 23. And if ballet is your interest, or forte, then you could also get a “once in a lifetime” chance to take centre stage with master classes from Xander and his dancers at each resort during their visit.
