Second Ritz-Carlton to grace Shanghai City

The Chinese seem to be on a roll! After being adjudged the world’s largest luxury goods market, they will see another luxurious opening at Shanghai, Pudong . After marking 100 years in San Francisco and setting its foot in Thailand, this is the second Ritz-Carlton for the city, and seventh for the country. Developed by architect Cesar Pelli, the 285-room Ritz-Carlton Shanghai will occupy the top 18 floors of the Shanghai ifc South Tower. The interiors have been designed by Richard Farnell. The hotel will feature a 24-hour Club lounge as well.


The hotel will also be house to restaurants like Aura Lounge and Jazz Bar, Jin Xuan, the fine dining Chinese Restaurant (designer: Steve Leung); Scena Italian Restaurant and Flair Rooftop Restaurant and Bar, designer: Super Potato). The hotel will also feature a Ritz-Carlton Spa by ESPA.
