Suite of the week – The lavish Ambassador Suite at the Ritz Carlton DIFC, Dubai

Pulling into the Ritz Carlton’s expansive marble courtyard gives the feeling of having entered a supercar showroom. McLarens, Ferraris and Astons sparkle pristinely on every corner, all overlooked by a cascading fountain. The Ritz Carlton DIFC in Dubai boasts 341 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites, including two Royal Suites.
Each suite has separate living and sleeping rooms, bathrooms with natural daylight, large marble bath tubs and stand-alone showers, and all suites overlook the picturesque hotel courtyard, or the vibrant center of DIFC.

The Suite
Sprawling more than 1,400 square feet, the Ambassador Suite is one of just 12 at the hotel. The room opens immediately onto an open-plan reception area with one of two bathrooms flanking one side. Beyond that, a large living room with dedicated seating area and sizeable flat screen. A dining room big enough for four leads onto an expansive balcony to give an incredible view of the emirate’s ever rising skyline.

It is the little touches that make all the difference. The room’s muted colours and bright, airy décor keep things feeling organic and fresh, while complimentary macaroons and the additional luxury of champagne in the mini bar is the perfect recipe for a romantic weekend. The king-size plush feather bed is unbelievably comfortable, while the adjoining bathroom, replete with a full range of Asprey toiletries, is the perfect place to freshen up before a big business meeting or night on the town.
