Suite of the Week: The serene Berber Tents at Kasbah Tamadot, Morocco

Given Richard Branson’s penchant for luxury, it’s only fair to expect oodles of extravagance and leisure at his luxury retreat Kasbah Tamadot in the Atlas Mountains. The Moroccan boutique resort is one of the most spectacular properties I’ve come across.

Every corner of the hillside spot immerses guests in Kasbah Tamadot’s rich history and heritage. Luciano Tempo’s dual career as an antique collector and interior designer can really be visualised all through the resort. More so, a delectable plethora of antiques and momentos adorn each of the 28 rooms and suites. Thankfully, the entire resort can be booked out for private use – an option I have definitely considered but for now, I highly recommend the Berber tented suites.

As you step into the one of the ten graciously decorated Berber Tents, six of which entail a private Jacuzzi I might add; step out to your private terrace and relax on your sun loungers whilst admiring the mountainous views around or simply, channel your inner-peace and cherish the Moroccan vibes in your room.

The bathroom too has elements of Morocco everywhere; from its soap dispenser to the authentic ornaments adorning the space. The interiors are my favourite element with earthy tones and symmetrical shapes enveloping the room.

Your stay includes accommodation, a Moroccan breakfast, a fully stocked mini bar and taxes.
