Marriott International opened its first two luxury hotels in Macau with the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Macau in the Galaxy Macau lodging and entertainment district. A first of its kind, The Ritz-Carlton, Macau is an all-suite hotel with over 250 suites on the top floors of the integrated resort. The new property will be the luxury’s 11th hotel in China.
Keeping up its luxury quotient, The Ritz-Carlton, Macau will feature 254 suites including three Villa suites, designed to blend in seamlessly with its local surroundings using Azulejo tiles, a form of Portuguese or Spanish ceramic tile that are synonymous with the heritage décor found in Macau.
Guests arrive at the lobby sitting on the 51st floor and proceed to in-room check while sipping on some Chinese tea and local snacks. The suites are spacious at 96 square meters and decorated elegantly in rich carpeting and a soothing color palette, while overlooking Cotai Macau.
The hotel boasts some unique dining experiences including classic Cantonese at Lai Heen; trasitional high-teas and cocktails at The Ritz-Carlton Bar & Lounge; a casual ambience at The Ritz-Carlton Café; or organic fare at The Ritz-Carlton Pool Bar.
For some rest and relaxation, there is the outdoor pool overlooking the Cotai or the private poolside cabanas, ideal for a private retreat. Guests can also head to the hotel’s spa, ESPA, offering signature treatments in their ten treatment rooms and three couples’ suites. As the hotel sits as a part of an integrated resort environment, guests can also access the Grand Resort Deck with the Skytop Adventure Rapids waterpark, do some shopping at The Promenade and enjoy world-class entertainment at the 3D Cineplex. For some natural attractions, the UNESCO World Heritage Historic Centre sits 20 minutes beyond the hotel area.
The hotel is also the ideal venue to host special events such as weddings and conferences with over 900 sq m of flexible event space.
