The Great Barrier Reef is getting a stunning underwater hotel

Visiting the Great Barrier Reef in Aussie Land tops most of our to-do lists. And in addition to charming us with its treasures, the aquatic wonderland is now about to open its first-ever underwater hotel. Yes, that’s right! You can now spend a night submerged under the blue water with enchanting corals and a host of fishes to keep you company.

Called the Reefsuites, the swanky underwater hotel boasts two rooms that can sleep four in total, with guests able to choose between king double or twin single options. The experience will include premium bedding, a glass-walled en suite and floor-to-ceiling views of the spectacular underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef. Additionally, the package will also include breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon teas and dinner along with a spectacular dining experience under the stars.

Those not particularly enchanted with the sea can also opt to sleep under the stars on the pontoon’s upper deck that caters to a total of 28 people at $595 per night. Guests opting for either of the two packages will be brought to accommodation via a scenic cruise through the Whitsundays to the pontoon while being treated a host of luxury amenities. For those interested, a stay at the underwater Reefsuites will retail at $749 per person inclusive of meals. Pricey, yes but for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, it’s surely a small sum to pay!
