Vail Resorts in Utah plans on spending a staggering $50 million to upgrade the Park City Mountain Resort for the 2015-2016 ski season. Subject to the plans being approved they intend on combining the ski are with the nearby Canyon Resort. Visitors can ride the high-speed two-way gondola between the two resorts to access the largest ski area in the United States of America with over 7,300 acres of skiable terrain.
This ambitious project will take about a year to be completed with the high speed gondola, improved chairlifts, new restaurants and additional snow making on two trails.
The chairlifts have to be upgraded from a four person to a six person one. The also plan on having a detachable ski lift thus increasing the capacity.
With all these new plans underfoot and the maintenance of the existing facilities the final product will be a spanking new resort and a haven for skiers.
