The Mandarin Oriental Paris’s Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx is serving up a space age menu

The Mandarin Oriental Paris s promising you the journey of a lifetime at their Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx restaurant every Tuesday in March. For this journey, your body will be firmly planted in your seat but your tastebuds will venture out into space through the exquisite dishes prepared by Chef Thierry Marx for astronaut Thomas Pesquet, to relish on his six-month mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

When Thomas Pesquet and the European Space Agency made a special request to Chef Marx, the Michelin starred chef created several dishes that the astronaut could enjoy on birthdays, holidays and other special occasions while on the space station.

For the event, the restaurant will be given a makeover so it resembles an actual spaceship and guests will enjoy a six-course menu that includes three dishes created for Pequet’s space sojourn. These dishes are Lucullus’ ox tongue, Chicken supreme with morel mushrooms, and Apple gingerbread. The special menu will be priced at €230 per person (excluding drinks).

The restaurant isn’t the only spot with a space age celebration to offer, guests can enjoy the Planet Marx pastry at the Cake Shop, or sip on the Star cocktails at Bar 8.
