The Peninsula New York offers a VIP tour of the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier

The Peninsula New York has done it again. This time’s new family friendly activity is a lesson in American innovation and bravery. A part of its iconic experiential program, “The Peninsula Academy,” this fun learning activity takes place at the ‘Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum’ and is aptly called “Inside the Intrepid: A Legendary Experience.” Sci-fi lovers will know that the Intrepid Museum features the legendary aircraft carrier Intrepid and the space shuttle Enterprise – the world’s fastest jet and a guided missile submarine. If that alone wasn’t reason enough to book this experience, eh?

You can choose from two guided experiences –

1) VIP Tour: Tour of Intrepid + Choice of Submarine, Concorde, or Space Shuttle Pavilion ($630 during Museum hours and $930 after hours)

Here you can enjoy an up close and personal look at the Intrepid and listen to stories about its heroic aviators and sailors. You also have a choice of exploring the Space Shuttle Pavilion; immerse yourself in the history of the submarine Growler, or take flight with the British Airways Concorde.

2) VVIP Tour: Ultimate Private Tour of Intrepid, Submarine, Concorde + Space Shuttle Pavilion($1,130 during Museum hours and $1,630 after hours)

Take your experience one step further and book the Space Shuttle Experience with your own personal guide. You get to enjoy your own private tour of the Growler, British Airways Concorde and an in-depth look at the Space Shuttle Pavilion.

Not just that… You will also have the opportunity to receive an inside look at the T-34 Mentor and Sea Guard Helicopter on both tours, an option not available to the rest of the public. No tour is complete without a souvenir, right? An Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum visitor’s guide and your very own junior fighter pilot suit compliments of The Peninsula New York is what awaits you.
