Quite recently, celebrated Hotel de la Paix joined hands with the Ritz Carlton. A resurrection was sure to follow its two-year overhaul but little did we expect to walk into a property as grand and awe-inspiring as this one! The exclusive hotel (read the Ritz- Carlton de la Paix) has reopened in the plush locales Switzerland and is promising guests a rich hospitality combined with an enriched culinary experience.
Located right at the shore of Lake Geneva, the hotel offers mesmerizing views of the city’s Jet d’Eau and Mont Blanc. Keeping true to its reputation for prime luxury, the 74- room property in its refurbished form includes a flexible event space for over 100 guests, fourteen suites (along with an art-deco styled presidential suite), exotic public areas and tapestries. The renewed hotel space also brings home novel culinary treats in the form of Fiskebar – a new Nordic-fusion concept that is inspired by executive chef Alessio Corda’s aesthetics as well as a new Living Room Bar & Kitchen that is set offer decadent cuisines in a warm and welcoming backdrop.
The multimillion dollar renovation also marks Ritz- Carlton’s debut in Switzerland and hence is special for more reasons than one. Per Herve Humler, president and chief operating officer of Ritz-Carlton, “With its storied past and legacy of outstanding service, rich culture, and culinary discoveries, Hotel de la Paix is an ideal fit for the Ritz-Carlton brand”. Guess it’s true after all!
