Time square to get a new $500 million InterContinental Hotel


If you like visiting NYC often, you just might get a few more options for an opulent stay! The InterContinental Hotels Group PLC is on its way to double its strength in the maximum city. The initiative is a $500 million hotel comprising 600-room in the Times Square area. The hotel has been made in partnership with Tishman Hotel & Realty LP. Jeffrey Beers International has designed the interiors. The hotel lobby comprises an outdoor garden, and the in-house amenities include oversized showers and computer facilities. The hotel will also be home to a 130-seat French restaurant by Chef Todd English.

With 22 hotels already catering to a wide audience, there are 15 more in the offing. The locations include a Hotel Indigo boutique on 38th Street, a Crowne Plaza in Long Island City, and a Holiday Inn in the Bronx. Catering essentially to the business class, the night rates vary between $350 and $550. The massive four-bedroom penthouse comes with a $15,000 per night price tag.
