India’s largest hospitality group, Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces, recently unveiled its latest brand, “Vivanta by Taj Hotels & Resorts.” The hotel group announced that 19 Taj Hotels would be transferred to this new brand. This transfer is part of the second phase of the hospitality group’s brand architecture exercise. The new brand, Vivanta by Taj Hotels & Resorts, slotted in the 5-Star Upper Upscale segment, was unveiled at a gala event at the brand’s marquee hotel, Vivanta by Taj – Whitefield, Bangalore. Vivanta by Taj Hotels & Resorts has been created to cater to the global traveler offering new luxury experiences. The brand sited to be sophisticated and stylish will surely have many luxury lovers knocking on its doors. The name ‘Vivanta’ is inspired by the term ‘bon vivant,’ which signifies sophistication and appreciation for the good things in life and the attributes of vividness and vivacity.
Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces have been operating three hotels under the Vivanta by Taj brand for twelve to twenty months. These hotels include Vivanta by Taj – Whitefield, Bangalore, Vivanta by Taj – Panaji, Goa, and Vivanta by Taj – Coral Reef, Maldives. With the announcement of the addition of the new hotels, the brand now boasts of an inventory of 2500 rooms, which the group hopes will grow to more than 30 hotels and over 5000 rooms over the next two years.
Some of the prominent Taj Hotels that will now flaunt the Vivanta logo include, Vivanta by Taj – President, Mumbai, and Vivanta by Taj – Connemara, as well as resorts like Vivanta by Taj – Fort Aguada, Goa, and Vivanta by Taj – Holiday Village, Goa, and many more.
