Alexander Wang debuts chain inspired jewelry line

Designer Alexander Wang has released his very first Jewelry line as part of his Spring/Summer 2016 collection. The three piece jewelry line consists of a cuff, earrings and a necklace each inspired by locks and bike chains.

“I always wanted to do jewelry, but I never felt like I had the opportunity. I’ve had my hands quite full. But I really got exposed to it when I went to Balenciaga and I really enjoyed the process,” Wang told WWD. His next pre fall collection will be inspired by pills.
Wang has created an interesting and wildly successful assortment of jewelry for Balenciaga in the past so his own jewelry line are likely to be just as fruitful. The designs are produced in Italy with the chain pieces being brass-plated in palladium while the locks have been brass-plated in 24-karat gold. The rhodium and rose gold plated earrings are priced at $295 (for a pair) while the Lock Hinge Cuff Bracelet will set you back by $475. The Double Lock Necklace is priced at $525. The collection can be purchased at the Alexander Wang website.
