2015 Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard launched in India at Rs 8.9 crore


Mercedes-Benz has launched the S600 Guard armored luxury limo in India for Rs. 8.9 crores onwards (ex-showroom Delhi). Based on the flagship S600L variant, it comes with about 1.7-tone worth of armor. According to Mercedes, the S600 Guard is the safest car on earth and is certified for the highest ballistics protection class right now, called VR9. It also comes equipped with a protective compound made of special steel in various hollow spaces in the vehicle’s body frame and outer body shell.

The S600 Guard runs on exclusive Michelin PAX run-flat tires that have a 28 km range with zero pressure. Other features include automatic fire suppression and an emergency fresh air system. In addition to the newly launches S-Guard, the other armored vehicles offered by German automaker include the Mercedes E-Guard, and M-Guard.
