Ferragamo’s Uomo fragrance embodies masculinity in its purest form

It’s no surprise that Salvatore Ferragamo’s latest addition to their fragrance portfolio has already got us talking. The Italian luxury house sure has a flair for concocting an interesting fusion between luxury and quality.

How was this perfume brought together? Well, for one their brief was to create a scent dubbed the, “potion of pure Italian style”, and named Uomo or ‘man’ in Italian. We loved it. Straightforward and out there. And for the finishing touches – select a mature actor who’s handsome and appears chivalrous – Ben Barnes — there’s yet another marketing tactic gone right.

Concocted by perfumer duo Alberto Morillas and Aurélien Guichard (Firmenich), the fragrance emits vibrant woody notes with invigorating gourmand notes. As you engage in the fragrance further, cool notes will touch your senses. Infused with Black Pepper, Cardamom and Bergamot the perfume is complimented by yet another whole-hearted Italian ingredient Tiramisu, alongside Orange Blossom and Ambrox. The base finishes with Cashmere Wood and Sandalwood with a hint of Tonka Bean.

The packaging is definitely getting some extra brownie points, a style accessory if you will. The historical “Venna” logo in black surrounds the clear glass bottle which is adorned with the famous Salvatore Ferragamo signature logo beneath ‘UOMO’.
