French label Bisou Bisou launched in India

The “Bisou Bisou” label created by Michele Bohbot, has entered the Indian market. The French brand, which is known for its chic styles kick-started their retail plans in India with a launch at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013 (LFW).

Michele Bohbot organized a fashion show in Mumbai to celebrate the launch in India of her Bisou Bisou brand — courtesy of a licensing deal with RelianceTrends. The brand, which started with the aim of bringing French fashion to the style conscious, has since expanded across the world, stocking women’s contemporary dresses, sportswear, swimwear, accessories and jewelry. The fashion show displayed a cross section of truly international contemporary styles, with the sheer timeless look. Sportswear, dresses, swimwear, accessories and fine jewellery are mixed and matched creatively to give the fashionable women in India, many great trendy directions. The new collection is heavy on ethnic prints, with the season’s darling, ikat, making its way on long sleeved tops and skirts. It is definitely high street fashion, as the georgette tops and kitschy accessories reveal. Priyanka Chopra graced the fashion show in an eclectic Bisou Bisou one-shoulder peplum blouse with a sheer back interest, teamed with sensational cigarette pants.
