The GVK lounge at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Terminal 2 now proudly holds the title of being Asia’s leading airport lounge at the World Travel Awards 2015. Spread over an area of 30,000 sq ft across two levels, the GVK lounge is situated in Terminal 2 and was inaugurated in November 2014.
It is indeed a proud moment and an honour for India to be recognized at a global event which stands for quality and excellence. The lounge has also been nominated for the “World’s best lounge” in the World Travel Awards to be held in Morocco.
The GVK lounge is the first airport lounge to have made luxury accessible to first class and business class passengers. From a very capable concierge service to a world class spa the lounge is elegant in ambience and amenities. The interiors have distinctive Indian touch to it which adds to the warmth and comfort of the lounge. The lounge can accommodate 440 passengers over the seating area, bar and dining area, it also provides updated information on the Airport Flight information screens put up in the lounges. With an array of options for food and drinks it is certainly the best place to be in at Terminal 2.
Built and operated by Travel Food Services and Performa and designed by fashion designer Sandeep Khosla and Mumbai architect Alfaz Miller, this lounge has taken the world by storm.
