Mumbai’s favorite Macaroon patisserie La Folie is set to house at the plush Palladium Hotle for a limited period. La Folie is a haute French patisserie boutique by French-trained Chef Sanjana Patel. Located in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, La Folie has changed Mumbai’s perception of what a dessert should be like.
At La Folie’s pop-up store, at the Palladium hotel, one can expect to have their senses treated to a wide selection of desserts, some of which are not available at La Folie’s flagship store at Kala Ghoda. With their best selling delicacies like Candy Cake, Rouge Velour and Mille Feuille, one can also try newly included Mi Fleur, the delicious chocolate cake with a soft centre and the Financier Tea Cakes which are incredibly light and moist.
The La Folie macaron flavours—blackcurrant and violet ganache, lemon grass and basil, and gulkand (a sweet preserve of rose petals)—are a welcome change from the usual fare of coffee and passion fruit crowding pastry counters. At the pop up store, there will be an assortment of macarons in flavours ranging from chocolate, fruits and even flowers. Don’t miss La Folie’s signature artisanal hand enrobed gourmet Pralines and Truffles made with single origin cocoa beans from Ecuador. Last but not least, Chef Sanjana Patel’s legendary Hot Chocolate will also feature on the pop-up store’s menu.
Starting from February 19th, 2015 and running till March 11th, 2015, La Foile, the city’s quirkiest gourmet patisserie will house at The Barista Bar at the Palladium Hotel.
