Masculinity is the order of the day with Bvlgari’s new Man Black Cologne

“Dedicated to tremendously seductive men”, Bvlgari has launched a new cologne has the scent of masculinity in all vigour. A series which began in 2010 has now reached its third edition – Man Black Cologne. The scent which boasts an ‘ultra-contemporary’ masculine fragrance, is a flanker of the Man in Black that was launched in 2014, which in turn was a flanker to the Bvlgari Man, launched in 2010.

The new “scent of burning water” was created by master perfumer Albert Morillas, and comes in a black flacon with a metallic silver top part featuring a relief Bvlgari logo and silver name inscription.

The beauty, or rather than unique ‘scent’ point of this perfume is the union of something starkly masculine such as rum, and the splashing freshness of citrus. It is regarded as a scent for the “contemporary explorer” – a trait evident in the brand’s jewellery designs too. This neo-oriental eau de parfum is also spiced up with the flavours of cardamom and cinnamon. Anyone with a sensitive olfactory sensation is aware of the rousing features these spices flaunt. Leather is another masculine note to watch out for in the fragrance. As much as a woman loves her leather too, nothing can do better justice than man of style in perfect leather. This hence adds poetry to the fragrance too.

Wood and black amber – giving that tinge of ruggedness which identifies best with the masculine figure – giving it the macho-ness even a kind of sophistication as Bvlgari can demand. What adds some spinz to the fragrance is tuberose and neroli – and balancing the full equation is sandalwood.

While the individual notes have their own properties, it is the combination that has got Bvlgari a product that will swear to swoon. A man’s statement is his choice of scent, and Man Black is sure to leave a trail that will last.
