Mercedes India unveils ‘colour-art’ limited edition of two remarkable cars


Mercedes India yesterday unveiled the special editions of its AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe and SLC 43 in ‘OrangeArt’ and ‘RedArt’ respectively. The special editions of the luxury performance cars, with a total of 25 units only, feature tones of red on the Sedan and that of orange on the Coupe to add to their visual appeal. The AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe Orange Art is priced at Rs. 1.02 Cr while the SLC 43 Red Art is placed at price bracket of Rs. 87.48 lakhs.

Both cars are powered by the 3.0-litre V6 direct injection bi-turbo mill, where the SLC 43 RedArt is a second faster than the Coupe to chase the 100kmph barrier at 4.7 seconds. The exteriors of both the cars are a feast for the eye with the Coupe flaunting the 21-inch 5-twin spoke alloy wheels with orange flange and orange traces on the front apron. The SLC 43 RedArt edition is painted with the exclusive grey finish with red inserts on the bumper, rear, and on the wheels.

Apart from the exterior tweaks, both the cars receive noticeable updates on the inside too. The sedan features the red contrasting topstitching on the black leather seats, Artico man-made leather armrests and door centre panels. The Coupe houses black nappa sports seats and floor mats with orange piping, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel in black nappa leather, etc.

Speaking on the launch of the limited edition of the two special cars, Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “With these limited edition models, we are heightening the sporty aspect of Mercedes-AMG and are confident that fans of the brand in India will be excited with these new offerings. We will continue to boost our AMG portfolio and enhance the brand promise of ‘driving performance’ even more in this market.”
